My Work

Value creation comes in many forms. It is not limited to a certain industry, a certain geography, or a certain technology. But the beauty in harnessing the power of abstraction is that you get to soar high above the intricate detail and see the patterns from above. In each of the following challenges, I've been asked to help with a deck, with fundraising, or with the value strategy. And always, the crossing point between the constraint that we uncovered was where the magic happened. From there, we could see how the desired future is at reach.

Emotional well-being platform for kids

USA

Tapouts

Background
George and his team were seeking strategic advice while they were building Tapouts. We discussed their mission to help kids be better by coping with their emotional challenges. These kids were born into a fast-moving world, and it's not always easy for them.

George and I discussed Tapouts challenges, and the ways to solve them. When he asked for help with his pitch deck, the path to finding the company's core constraints was an short one.

The process
Advised the CEO in key early-stage milestones. Reviewed the preexisting deck and researched the market for additional input.

Core Constraints

  • Child safety: Parents seek only the best for their children, and emphasizing how the methods for helping kids build an emotional resilience are scientifically proven is a core ordering idea in Tapouts business identity.

  • Kids-first design: Speak in kids language. For a lasting impact, kids needs to be taught in their own way. To fulfill its mission to help kids thrive, Tapouts must find its way to children's minds and hearts.

CortiSense

Background
CortiSense needed help proving a multinational corporate of its unique value proposition. Before we could found the right way to pitch, we needed to find out what is it exactly that we're pitching.

The process

A well-balanced team creates an interesting set of interviews, each drawing a different angle of the value proposition. After interviewing customers, and digging into their competition, the answer has become clear.

Core Constraints

  • Healthy production: maintenance leaders are there to ensure that nothing deviates from perfect. Anything that can contribute to that beating rhythm of production will be in high demand.

  • Least overheard: production, every manufacturer can tell you, is a matter of balance. A dance of machines and machinists to create something new. And if you can remove some of their burden, the better.

Developer Tools - Inclusion

Israel

User1st

Background
User1st was reinventing itself from a compliance SaaS to a tool for developers to create inclusive assets. Evgeny was looking for someone who could help him put in words and define how User1st actually adds value in the market before it could be pitched to investors.

The process
Evgeny and his team were insightful in giving the ropes on the challenge. Together, we interviewed customers and prospects, and brainstormed various ways to craft the value strategy.

Core Constraints

  • Inclusiveness: a new, soft social standard that is prevalent in investors, customers, and employees circle. When most of the interactions a business has with its stakeholders are digital, anything that can make the business more digitally inclusive is valuable.

  • Velocity: at the end of the day, code needs coders. And coders' time, especially the smart ones, is precious. Engineering leaders would always seek to delegate non-core coding tasks to more idly available coders. A solution that helps junior coders deliver inclusive assets is worth money.

LEAP Commerce

Background
LEAP was seeking strategic investor to support its position in a highly competitive market. They had trouble convincing investors of their strong position. Their request was to polish that rough diamond into a compelling investment opportunity.

The process
Very often the first thing to do is to break everything down to pieces, and putting them back together in an order that make sense. With additional research and interviews with the company's leadership, their deal became clear.

Core Constraints

  • Serviceability: serving larger chunks of the market grants customers the chance to win the minds of wallets of consumers all across the SEA region.

  • Velocity: being able to master the eCommerce platforms and make the most out of them gives a brand the ability to experiment and adapt faster to shifting consumer demand.
